Birthday Parties

 

A birthday party allows guests to get creative and have a great time making something. Guests will make their own take-home party favors using their imagination and creativity.   We will work with you to come up with the perfect, unique craft project for your party including a special item for the guest of honor.

Block Party Teen Quilting

This class will teach kids ages 13-19 everything they need to start quilting!

 

In this program, they will learn basic piecing using a ¼ inch seam, layering and basting the three layers that make up a quilt, basic machine quilting, and fused binding.

 

They will also learn general quilting terminology and knowledge, an introduction to rotary cutters, rulers, and mats, cutting basic shapes, sewing units into blocks and pressing units and blocks.

 

Class Length -  2 hours  (12 hours total)

Craft Camp

 

We invite your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, young neighbors and small friends to explore their creative side during this summer at CRAFT CAMP. Developed to provide arts enrichment and learning activities for children ages 7 – 14, each week’s session  will feature a different project with a variety of craft techniques and activities.

 

Class Length - 2 hours per session, 6 week program

Class Fee - $30 per session, $150 full program

A crafting shower allows guests to get creative and have a great time making something the bride or mother-to-be can really use. We will work with you to come up with the perfect, unique craft project for your party resulting in a keepsake for the bride or mother-to-be to take home.

Hooked on Crochet

Crocheting is the newest craze of an old skill and this 6-week class will take you through everything you need to know as you create a variety of crocheted items.   Gain tips, knowledge and explore your creativity while you relax and meet new crochet friends.  You'll be “hooked” in no time!

Kids Can Cook 

This 4-week class will introduce your child (ages 7-14) to simple utensils, measuring and table manners. Budding chefs chop, grate, and roll their way to a different delicious dish each week. With a take-home recipe card, kids can build their own cookbooks and share what they learn with the whole family!  Children will also receive an apron to keep.

Class Length -  1 ½ hours  (9 hours total)

Kids Can Cook 2

This 4-week class builds upon the skills acquired in Level 1 as we move on to more complex meal creation techniques.  Students will learn to create sauces, gravies, marinades and rubs as well as safe cooking temperatures and selecting ingredients for flavor compliment.

 

Class Length -  2 hours  (8 hours total)

Class Level -   must have completed Level 1

Kids Can Cook 3

This 4-week class will introduce bakery skills including breads, cakes, frostings, cookies and pies/tarts.  Students will learn to scratch create a variety of oven-baked delights worth of any patisserie.

Kids Can Cook 4

This 4-week class will introduce vintage cooking skills.  Students will learn to can and pickle fruits and vegetables as well as how to make butter and cheese from scratch.

Kids Can Cook 5

This 4-week class will introduce international cuisine.  Students will explore and create dishes from a number of cultures including Japanese, Cajun/Creole, Polish and French foods.

In this program, they will learn how to thread the machine, load the bobbin, adjust tension, change needles, and troubleshoot. They will sew straight lines, turns and backstitch. Also, they will learn about sewing techniques like seam allowances and how to adjust the settings on the machine.

 

They will also learn how to hand stitch, to pin, cut and baste fabric. The program includes measuring for pattern size, pattern selection and pattern envelope reading, fabric and notion selection, pattern layout, cutting, and sewing to complete a garment.

Kindercraft

A child’s early engagement in creative activities can help create unique brain connections that will have long-term impact on a child’s life.

 

 These activities engage children’s hands, minds and emotions and help develop valuable cognitive, social-emotional, and multi-sensory skills while fostering creativity and self esteem.

 

This program offers  fantastic preschool crafts to engage the creativity of your child and are the perfect way to create a special time of fun for you and your little one.

Krafty Kids

​

Looking for a new activity experience for young ones? You’ve found the right spot with our craft classes for kids which joyfully provide creative exploration and play. 

​

On the 2nd Saturday of each month, we will offer a variety of different types of arts and crafts workshops (scrapbooking, shadow boxes, jewelry making, recycled crafts, photo frame crafts and more) with the younger crafter in mind. Kids ages 7 through 14 can enjoy a quick project and take home a finished masterpiece

Piece, Patch, Quilt

Learn how to quilt in this fun introductory class.

 

Quilting is not difficult. Women for many generations (and some men) have participated in quilt making.

 

In this six session program, we will make a 9-patch lap quilt.

 

Everything you need to start quilting will be covered from choosing fabrics to working with rotary cutters, rulers and mats, piecing and binding.

 

This class includes all sewing supplies.

This series is designed for adults to learn in a warm and non-competitive environment. Perfection is never our goal; rather, students should expect that over time their skills will improve with practice. Our instructors make sewing approachable, and it’s our goal to provide you with the confidence and the knowledge you need to continue practicing sewing at home.

Teens Can Bake

Our program introduces teens (ages 13-19) to the joys of baking and allows teenagers to acquire a range of more advanced baking skills. 

 

This six-week program covers a wide scope in baking, to inspire teens to continue to bake at home or consider a career within the food industry.

Teens Can Cook

Our program introduces teens (ages 13-19) to the joys of cooking. 

 

Each week, budding chefs work their way through a different recipe that highlights specific food prep skills.

Youth Group Activities

 

Bring your church Youth Group, Boy and Girl Scouts, Awanas, etc., we will assist them with a creative project that teaches them a fun new skill and/or fulfills merit badge requirements.
